Mini-feed Rebellion

Yesterday, facebook implemented it's super stalker feature which allows you to see every change on everyone's profile through a feed. Since then the whole community has gone nuts and wants to get rid of all of it. It's gone too myspace and is too revealing. Chapters against the feed are starting at each university, a global petition is going around (235,000 people have joined as of 11:42AM), and Danny's status reads: "Danny is finding it funny that everyone is suddenly "freaked out" by facebook when we all know you are and always have been a bunch of stalking bitches."

I think it's funny how passionate all of us are about getting rid of these new features. I kind of wish we could collectively come together like this when attacking issues like world hunger and pollution. Haha, but I don't think it will happen because world hunger isn't real enough to us - what's real is facebook, Paris Hilton, and Apple iPods. I'm sure this fury is what the students experienced when we were going into Vietnam.

My proposal is that either A) facebook makes this feed optional and allows people to control what changes people can see

or B) facebook should change it back to the old system once we save a starving village in Africa
