chris hansen is about to pop out of nowhere

man, i need to grow up. i should have been done with the punk/emo/alternative scene about a year ago. i need to strictly follow the shins, modest mouse, sigur ros, death cab - and all the other stuff people my age are actually listening to.

i went to the warped tour today and i felt old and out of place. i was singing along to saying sorry and saw little girls singing along too. they were jumping and dancing while one of their dad's in a fanny pack was overlooking and making sure they didn't get too close to the pit.

i feel like a pedophile.

paramore has an attractive lead singer. born in 1988. four days shy of 1989. and i listened to them in 2005. when she was 16. i'm going to hell.

my reality tv show episode 8.16.07

maybe i will get fired for this. i'm going to start off by saying that i don't care about my present or past tenses.. if you like bloggers who write well, just go to technicolor.org.

815am: woke up. this is after 9 hours of sleep. it's been a while since i've had 9 hours. 9 is more than what doctors recommend. i caught some sort of cold/fever/beastlike syndrome on tuesday and have been on loads of airborne. i had the chills and felt light headed. i never know if that's a cold or fever.

note: one of the best feelings after being sick is waking up and realizing that you're not sick anymore. it's one of those instant things that gives you relief or the pain to kill yourself.

900am: drank water, showered, ate some cereal and headed out. i don't trust my stomach when i'm sick so i ate some strawberry mini wheats straight with no milk. mmm. i text mic while walking to work to tell him how awesome going to bed at 11pm is.

915am: i make it into work. i turn on the lights - everyone seems to like the natural sunlight better. i don't. it's why we have technology. i check emails, read the trades, and find pics of a NY coworker dancing at a JT concert last night.

930am: call with mtv to present our recommended director for our rockband video game.

10am: after a trip to starbucks with b.lowe and kylie and being disappointed again that they don't have cinnamon buns, I'm feeling good with my kenya blend black coffee and apple fritter. i take another airborne. I don't care about my stomach anymore.

11am: finish some emails, do some real work, lalala. i think we had a call with NY to go over where our Q3 spend is with ESPN and the NFL Network. i think we did, because i remember running straight into a direcTV presentation. i remind myself how i need to get direcTV someday - and get the NFL package so I can watch 8 games at once.

note: on each of the 8 mini screens, there are bars that display how close the team is to the red zone.

note two: you can program your fantasy players into your satellite receiver and have it notify you when your guys are in the red zone. you then have the option to switch to that game.

12pm: Lunch with Nielsen. Thought this would be about their metric programs and nerdy software I <3. Turns out that Nielsen owns some consumer websites and I was deceived. They did cater from blue hour and I discover that blue hour has amazing chocolate chip cookies. I don't think it's fair that Nielsen measures its own sites and compares them to competing sites.. that's kind of like the Emmys making a movie and nominating themselves for everything.

1pm: More emails. Get back to reps. Makes me wonder if the world would move much slower without emails. I confirm that I am going to warped tour this weekend. I confirm that I have passes to the dew action tour this weekend. I confirm that I can finish this big competitive request due the next day after ad*views has finally finished pulling.

215pm: a cool presentation from EA on the life of the Wii so far. this report includes quantitative and qualitative information on why the Wii is amazing and the ps3 pretty much sucks. seriously. it's even hard for game developers to adapt to programming ps3 games.

3pm: all agency meeting. tons of new people give introductions. it feels like an amateur comedy club. we're all still wondering why ______ was on a plane headed to prison.

430pm: madden & tiger tv traffic. watch them this weekend and get blown away.

530pm: day is dying down. a lady that represents chinese newspapers (the ones our parents read) wants EA to advertise with them.

3 reps will also be in town during the second week of September for the NW Music Festival.

600pm: a simple competitive request is taken care of. i have to call VS, Sci Fi, CW, and FOX tomorrow and ask them if they're coming to the NW anytime soon. we'd love an update. if you rep any of these networks, please call me.

end of the day: armyofkyle and i play the diner themed pinball game out by the kitchen. he gets another high score. i don't get close. he hits the dine time (3 million points), has a ton of extra balls and multi balls, and his tip from patrons was 9% (equates to another million points).

that is all. goodnight. this post was brought to you by airborne.

We tend to Remember what we have tried so hard to Forget

i'm in a state of nostalgia and missing almost every hibbiity dibbity moment. it's nice to drop your guard and let the demons attack you. like "finally, have your way."

jk.

kind of. what are we fighting for? and why doesn't it seem worth it.

and i think i go on the most random tangents and vent too much about really obscure things that make me go cous cous on you. it's those times you should just tell me to stop trying so hard in life. it's those times i feel lost.

according to cosmo, 38% of surveyed girls say the most important quality in a guy is his sense of humor. 2% named looks. 1% named being able to blow spit bubbles.

nike+++++

my goal is to do five miles in less than 38 minutes: roughly 7'30" a mile. it's not going very well. my legs burn. however, paula radcliffe congratulated me on running my fastest mile today.

i need a music track of police sirens and german shepherds chasing after me.

barry bonds

i'm kind of proud of him.

"this record is not tainted at all. period."

why'd i turn off the tv after the fourth inning?

we drink too much in my industry.

humans

we're like parasites when it comes to trends, technology, and pop culture. we make everything sell out and will strip the worth out of everything awesome. we eat it all up and we want more. we are neverrrrrr satisfied. i blame the internet.

and when it comes to advertising on the internet.. it seems extremely difficult and extremely easy communicating to a hungry audience.. on one hand, the medium is there where you can reach the masses.. on the other they feel like they've seen and experienced everything.

that's why street stunts are the coolest things. i wish fake viruses could be uploaded onto your computer. and as soon as you're freaking out, norton will fix everything and tell you to subscribe to their product.

i-jack

chris hansen has to have the biggest ego in the world. i hope he sets up a sting for his daughter to catch predators - or horny boyfriends.

new york is coming.. muggy weather, crowded people, firecrotches. we should try a game at ruckers and get torn apart. just to tell people we played there. only one life right?

michigan is so friggin fast in ncaa football.

what do you do when you feel smuthered? start over?
