i'll admit, i have no idea who i want to vote for come november

i will be watching lots of basketball and football. november is such a good time for sports.. such a good season to be distracted. who would want to focus on fixing a country? jk. sort of. people need to shop for the holidays too.

i'm headed out of the country in a few weeks. and maybe i will never come back.

two years is the threshold people have in Portland.. then they all bail back home. Portland will do that to you. It will give you clarity on what to do with yourself. tomorrow will be the third going away party in two weeks.

upcoming things to do in PDX.

sigur ros, sold out. so sad.

run like hell half marathon

question of your life.

i'm telling you, it's the day by day things that count. and when you face those monstrous big things, you'll know how to react.. because you've been reacting everyday.

Two down to earth guys flew down from Portland. They work with at the amazing Wieden+Kennedy with my friend Rob Heppler who recently joined their force. Rob invited me to speak at Wieden+Kennedy sometime in the near future. I've never been to Portland, it seems like a quaint place filled with creative, level headed movers + shakers. I look forward to my trip there!

A Nice Price for Gas: Free
August 29, 2008, 5:06 pm

Now this is a publicity stunt that gets our motor running.

To launch a new videogame called Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, Electronic Arts says it is giving away free gas all day today at a gas station in southern California.

A opened the pumps this morning at 6 a.m. Pacific time and will continue until 6 p.m., or at least until the pumps run dry. The gas station is located at 8489 Beverly Blvd, on the corner of La Cienega and Beverly, in Los Angeles. EA says it will pump up to $60 of gas of any grade into a car that stops by.

The gimmick is relevant to the theme of Mercenaries, which involves a power hungry tyrant who uses the country’s oil supply to overthrow the Venezuelan government. A live video feed of the station is here.
